Frank Tonto

I think the british members here will probably have heard of him. I knew Frank from years ago, and haven't seen him play for years. He is one of UK's top session guys. I went to see FrankMcComb( an american R&B singer/pianist) play at the jazz cafe in london on monday night, and Frank Tonto was the drummer, along with tony remy( british guitar player, amazing!),and a bass player who's name I didn't get, but also fantastic. Anyway, Tonto's playing was UNbelievable. I really didn't expect that much, but he totally stole the show. Everyone got to play long solos, and when it came to Frank Tonto, he had chops coming out of his ears. I mean, visually, his style was a cross between cobham and chambers, and what he actually played was like chambers, terreon gully, erik tribett, and not to take anything away from him, his own style too. I went up to him afterwards, and he did somehow remember me. Got his phone number, and will be contacting him soon in the hope of getting together with him, and stealing some ideas. He's a monster, and I told him so

Did he play with Craig David? I know I've heard that name somewhere...

I think he probably did, but not positive. Wouldn't surprise me though, as he does do those kind of name gigs, as far as I know.

Frank is killing. He's playing with Craig David and has also toured with Geaorge Michael. Frankd is constantly busy with RnB and sould projects in town and if I'm correct, he also did the last pop idol tour with Will and Garteh.
